Brantford Police seeking witnesses to fatal collision

Brantford police are asking members of the public who may have witnessed a fatal two-vehicle collision to come forward with information.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Charing Cross and North Park streets on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

Investigators determined that one of the vehicles involved struck and knocked down a hydro pole prior to being involved in a secondary collision in the intersection.

One of the drivers involved, a Brantford man in his 70’s, was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities are looking for information from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have dash cam or surveillance video from around 10:40 a.m. in the area.
