Brantford Police Service42-year-old man charged with Second Degree Murder

A 42-year-old Brantford man has been arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder after a disturbance at a Colborne Street motel.

officers responded to reports of a disturbance involving two men at a motel located at Colborne Street and Locks Road at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2026.

When police arrived, they found a deceased male that appeared to have been assaulted. Police arrested and charged a man at the scene with Second Degree Murder. The accused was held for bail.

Police believe the two parties are known to each other and that this an isolated incident. No other suspects are wanted by police.
