Brantford police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating items linked to a recent homicide.

The investigation began Oct. 22 around 9:30 a.m. in the area of Cayuga St.

Police say the suspect left the Superior St. and Cayuga St. area on foot. They were later arrested in the area of Park Rd. and Chatham St.

Police say the suspect may have travelled along the Shallow Creek Trail and Glebe Farm Trail areas.

Officers believe the suspect left a dark-coloured hood, a checkered, zippered sweatshirt with a hood and a black hat somewhere between the scene and where the arrest took place.

Residents in the area area asked to check their property for any of the items. The public is asked not to touch any of the items if found and contact police at 519-756-7050.

Police also ask residents to check video footage and contact police with any information that may be helpful in the investigation.
