Erika Polidori was honoured at the Brantford Red Sox game on Friday, August 27.

Erika Polidori throws out the ceremonial first pitch before the Brantford Red Sox took on the Hamilton Cardinals on Friday, August 27.

Polidori, a Brantford native and member of Team Canada’s bronze-medal winning softball team, met with fans, posed for several photos and threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game. 

Fans gave Polidori a warm welcome as she headed out to the mound to throw out the first pitch to Red Sox CF Gianfranco Morello. 

Polidori threw a strike before heading off the field to enjoy some Intercounty Baseball League action between the Hamilton Cardinals and her hometown Brantford Red Sox.
