Michael Bradley was named the City of Brantford’s Commissioner of Community Development on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

The City’s Community Development commission plays a crucial role in enhancing the municipality’s quality of life, economic prosperity, and sustainable development through the planning, economic development, tourism and cultural initiatives, building and by-law departments.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Michael to the City of Brantford,” said Mayor Kevin Davis. “We are fortunate to have secured the expertise and leadership of such a highly accomplished and experienced municipal administrator to oversee and guide these critical City departments.”

“I am very much looking forward to working alongside the talented and hard-working people at the City of Brantford,” said Michael Bradley. “I am eager to collaborate with staff, businesses and organizations to create a lasting impact on the community we serve.”

Born and raised in Brantford, Bradley brings over 20 years of extensive experience to the role, most recently as the CAO for the County of Brant. He successfully led his team through incredible growth and transition, and he was key in several of the County of Brant’s accomplishments, including the Green Energy Accord with Six Nations of the Grand River, significant planning milestones, and the development of Brant Municipal Enterprises Inc.

Bradley will join the City of Brantford on June 19, 2023.
