Six Nations Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Chiefswood Road, shortly thereafter, a separate motor vehicle collision occurred a short distance away from the initial collision.  

While officers were responding to an unrelated motor vehicle collision, officers observed a vehicle  travelling towards the scene at a slow rate of speed with the turn signal on at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

The  vehicle proceeded to turn into the opposite lane, causing the vehicle to go into the ditch. When police approached the vehicle, they observed a male driver exit the vehicle. The male displayed signs of impairment. No injuries were reported to police as a result of either collision.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Aaron SAULT  (41 years old) of Hagersville, ON with the following criminal offences: 

– Impaired Operation 

– Alcohol per se Offence 

– Use Plate not Authorized for Vehicle 

– Driving while under Suspension 

– Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence  

The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on a later date. No charges have been laid in the initial collision.
