The City of Brantford announced the full return of summer programming for all ages at Harmony Square throughout July and August.
“The Special Events team is excited to announce a variety of high-quality events and programs that will welcome families to Harmony Square this summer” said Jennifer Middleton, Coordinator of Special Events for the City of Brantford. “Harmony Square is where our community gathers to celebrate and make long lasting memories, we are excited to see you.”
Free summer programming includes Character Meet and Greets, Music in the Square, Movies in the Square, Wee Watch Children’s Programs, Chess in the Square and Playdate in the Square. There will also be special events including Rock the Square on Saturday, July 16 and HipFest on Saturday, August 13.
Fitness in the Square also returns with High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) on Mondays, Yoga on Tuesdays, BodyFit on Wednesdays. and CardioFit on Fridays.
The popular Roller Skate in Harmony Square with a live D.J. returns Monday and Wednesdays with two time slots available with pre-registration required so that everyone can have the space they need to enjoy the rink. Community members can register online at Brantford.ca/RecConnect. Registration for July is available on June 29 beginning at 7:00 a.m. and for August registration beginning on July 27 at 7:00 a.m. Limited spots are available due to allowable number of roller skaters at any given time. Roller skate rentals are available for $10.00 per pair. Helmets and safety gear is strongly recommended.
