Brantford man wins $2 million

Local NewsBrantford man wins $2 million

Peter Stefanovic of Brantford is $2 million richer after winning the top prize on a $20 instant scratch ticket.

Stefanovic, a 60-year-old retiree from the automotive industry, said he won $40 playing this game on a previous ticket, which is how he came to purchase his winning ticket!

“I was at home by myself when I saw the numbers matched and then saw the value. I just yelled out of shock – I couldn’t believe what I was seeing!”

Stefanovic then called his wife and told her to come home because he won big. “She told me to keep checking it. I still don’t think she’s fully accepted our new reality,” he laughed.

“I’ve never seen a cheque for $2 million with my name on it,” he said. “It’s like a dream.”

Stefanovic plans to share his winnings with his children and then take some time to make other decisions. “I’ve always wanted a truck, so I might make that happen. I also plan to treat myself to a new set of golf clubs,” he smiled.
