Brantford woman facing Impaired Driving charge

A driver is facing impaired driving charges, following an investigation by Brant County OPP. On the morning of June 9, 2026, at 1:40 a.m. 

Brant County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Colborne Street East at Brant County Road 18 in the County of Brant. 

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged 29-year-old, Gabriela COLOMA-GARCIA from Brantford, with the following Criminal Code offence of, Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on July 23, 2026.

Brant OPP charge 21-year-old with Stunt Driving

A member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Puttown Road in the County of Brant after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed at approximately 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026,

The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a vehicle was observed travelling at a speed of approximately, 100 km/h in a posted 50 km/h speed zone.

As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old driver from Woodstock, Ontario has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed,
  • Speeding 50+ Km/h over posted limit.

The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation. The driver is scheduled to attend Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on the date of August 13, 2026.
