Local NewsGabe Minor appointed as Executive Director of CFSGE

Gabe Minor has been appointed as the next Executive Director for Child and Family Services of Grand Erie (CFSGE).

CFSGE Board of Directors conducted a thorough search that attracted many highly qualified candidates from across the province. Throughout the process, the Board remained focused on identifying a leader with the vision, experience, and judgment to guide the organization through its key priorities and the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Gabe Minor was selected for the breadth of leadership he brings to this stage of the organization’s development, along with his strong understanding of child welfare, public service, and community realities. Gabe joins CFSGE with more than two decades of leadership experience in child welfare and  public service, including frontline and management roles in child welfare services, senior leadership with the Ontario Public Service, and most recently, regional oversight of child welfare  accountability and service quality with the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services  (MCCSS).

“The Board is pleased to welcome Gabe Minor as the next Executive Director of Child and Family Services of Grand Erie,” said Rhonda Morley, Chair of the Board of Directors. “He brings a depth of experience in child welfare, public service, and systems leadership that will support the organization as it continues to advance its mission and respond to the needs of children, youth,  and families in our communities through these complex times in our sector.”

The Board recognizes that leadership transitions are significant moments in the life of an organization and its community. CFSGE remains grateful for the ongoing partnership and support  of staff, families, caregivers, volunteers, and community partners who contribute to the well being of children, youth, and families across the region.
