Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to a business on Paris Road following reports of a female driver believed to be under the influence of alcohol at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2026.

Upon arrival, officers located the driver and initiated an investigation. As a result, the female was placed under arrest and transported to the Brantford Police Service for further testing.

Subsequent breath samples revealed the accused had a blood alcohol concentration of approximately 230 mg of alcohol per 100 mL of blood, which is nearly three times the legal limit. The accused, a 60 year-old female from Burlington, Ontario, has been charged with Operation While Impaired (Blood Alcohol Concentration).

As a result of this incident, the driver’s license has been automatically suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle has been impounded for seven days, as per Ontario’s administrative sanctions for Impaired Driving.
