Brant OPPBrant OPP charge Ohsweken resident with Impaired Driving

A driver is facing Impaired Driving charges, along with several additional Criminal Code offences, following an investigation by Brant County OPP.

On the morning of February 12, 2026, at 7:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Colborne Street East and Brant County Road 18 in response to a report of a possible impaired driver. 

As a result of the investigation, police charged 46-year-old, Vernon HILL of Ohsweken, with the following offences:

  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order (three counts)
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order (three counts)
  • Operation While Prohibited
  • Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent

The accused was held for Bail Court and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford.
