Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted the “Stop and Look” traffic safety campaign, focusing on intersections identified as high-risk based on collision data from 2020 to 2024 from Monday, May 5 through Friday, May 9, 2025.
The initiative emphasized enforcement of stop sign and traffic signal infractions at the top 10 collision-prone intersections across the county.
In total, 68 Provincial Offence Notices were issued during the campaign, supported by several hours of dedicated enforcement by officers using both marked and unmarked cruisers.
This zero-tolerance campaign is part of the OPP’s ongoing commitment to the Canada Road Safety Strategy 2025, aiming to reduce injuries and fatalities on Ontario roads through targeted prevention and enforcement.
Drivers are reminded to approach intersections with caution, obey traffic signs and signals, and eliminate distractions behind the wheel.
