Brant OPP77-year-old facing one count of Spousal Assault

Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual following an intimate partner-related incident in Brant County.

On June 7, 2026, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Brant County OPP responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the County of Brant.

Investigation determined that a physical and verbal argument between two individuals occurred with one person sustaining minor injuries as a result. The involved parties are known to one another.

As a result of the investigation, one 77-year-old individual from the town of Paris was arrested and charged with, Assault – Spousal.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Brantford at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 16, 2026.
