60-year-old Brant County resident facing Assault charges

Brant OPP60-year-old Brant County resident facing Assault charges

Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual following an intimate partner-related incident in Brant County.

OPP responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the County of Brant at approximately 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

Investigation determined that a physical and verbal argument between two individuals occurred with one person sustaining minor injuries as a result. The involved parties are known to one another.

 As a result of the investigation, a 60-year-old individual from Brant County was arrested and charged with:

•          Assault – Spousal,

•          Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke, suffocate or strangle

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Brantford at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 17, 2026.
