15-year-old facing multiple charges after robbery attempt

Brantford Police Service15-year-old facing multiple charges after robbery attempt

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to a weapons related call for service at an Icomm Drive location at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2023.

Information was received that an adult male victim had allegedly been shot by a young male with a pellet gun. 

Officers attended and, as a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old youth, who is a resident of Brantford, was arrested and stands charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Robbery 
  • Uttering Threats to Cause Bodily Harm or Death 
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purposes, 
  • Using Imitation Firearm in Commission of Offence 
  • Causing Bodily Harm with Intent – Air Gun or Pistol 

A bb gun was located and seized by police.

The youth was held for bail. 

Please note, as the accused is a young offender, information has been released in compliance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
