Brantford police are investigating after a hit-and-run Monday afternoon involved a vehicle striking a pedestrian in a mobility assist wheelchair.

Officers said around 1 p.m. someone in a dark coloured sedan struck the pedestrian in the area of Stanley and Chatham streets, and left the scene.

Investigators said the driver was last seen going southbound along Stanley Street and that the vehicle may have scratches to the left-front driver’s side fender.

Police told CHCH News that the pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
