A 53-year-old Brantford man is facing multiple charges including Public Incitement of Hatred and three counts of Uttering Threats.

As a result of an investigation launched February 2023 by the Brantford Police Service, officers became aware of information posted publicly via the internet by the accused which was threatening and targeting specific communities.

Messaging posted by the accused was determined to be antisemitic in nature and encouraging others to commit acts of violence.    

On Monday, February 13, 2023, police executed a search warrant at a Mohawk Street residence where a large quantity of ammunition was located, stored improperly, in a careless and dangerous manner.

As a result of the investigation, a 53-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:

  • Public Incitement of Hatred
  • Careless Storage of Firearm (or ammunition)
  • Uttering Threats to Cause Death and Bodily Harm x 3

The accused has been held for a bail hearing with bail opposed.
