OPP charge person after domestic assault investigation

Brant OPPOPP charge person after domestic assault investigation

Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual following a domestic-related incident in Scotland, Ontario.

Brant County OPP responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the town of Scotland at approximately 12:21 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Investigation determined that a verbal argument between two individuals escalated into a physical altercation. One person sustained minor injuries as a result. The involved parties are known to one another.

 As a result of the investigation, one individual from Brant County was charged with:

•        Assault causing bodily harm,

•        Forcible Confinement

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
