Mississauga resident facing Stunt Driving charges

Brant OPPMississauga resident facing Stunt Driving charges

A Mississauga resident is facing charges following a traffic stop on Puttown Road in Brant County.

A member of the Brant Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar enforcement on Puttown Road at approximately 5:46 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.

The officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at 101km/h in a posted 50km/h zone.

As a result of the traffic stop, a 32-year-old of Mississauga resident has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

·        Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed

·        Speeding 50+ km/h Over Posted Speed Limit

·        Drive Motor Vehicle, No Currently Validated Permit

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on March 26, 2024, to answer to the charges.
