Brantford police say the body of an 83-year-old man who went missing last week has been found.
Noriyuki Kikuji was last seen leaving his home on Brock St., walking southbound towards Dalhousie St. around 12:30 p.m. on April 16.
Information from the community allowed investigators to focus on searching the area of Lynden Rd. and Garden Ave. The Ontario Provincial Police helicopter team also helped emergency crews look for Kikuji.
Shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, officers found Kikuji dead in a forest near Welton Rd. in Brantford.
Police said the family has requested privacy to mourn their loss.
