Brant OPP80-year-old facing one count of Assault after dispute

Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual following a neighbour dispute incident in the Town of Paris.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Paris at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026.

Investigation determined that a verbal argument between two individuals escalated into a physical altercation. One person sustained minor injuries as a result. The involved parties are known to one another.

 As a result of the investigation, an 80-year-old individual from Brant County was charged under the Criminal Code with Assault.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Brantford Ontario Court of Justice on December 4, 2026.
