Brant OPPCollision Investigation leads to Impaired charges

One person is facing an impaired driving charge after Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members investigated a collision report Wednesday evening.

On Wednesday August 10, 2022, at approximately 7:46 p.m., officers with the Brant County OPP responded to a Queen Street address in Paris for a reported collision.

One person was arrested and transported to Brant County detachment for testing.

Police have charged 24-year-old Jakob MEYER, from Brant County with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol or drugs and
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
