As a result of an investigation launched by the Brantford Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) in May 2025, a 44-year-old Brantford man has been arrested and is facing child pornography charges.
A lost cell phone was found by a citizen in May 2025. When the citizen accessed the phone in an attempt to locate the owner, concerning images were observed, causing the citizen to turn the cell phone over to police.
A search warrant to examine the phone was granted and detectives working in the ICE Unit found evidence of child pornography on the device.
As a result of the investigation, on January 19, 2026, a 44-year-old male from Brantford was arrested and is facing two counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation material and one count of Make Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material contrary to the Criminal Code.
