Brantford man charged after motor vehicle collision

On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a motor vehicle collision at Brant Avenue and West Street involving two vehicles.

Officers attended and in speaking with the driver of one of the vehicles, observed signs of impairment. 

The accused was arrested and transported to provide samples of breath as required by law. The accused was found to be impaired by alcohol.

As a result, a 73-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violation:

  • Impaired Operation

Additionally, the driver’s licence of the accused was suspended, and the car impounded.
