Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual following an intimate partner violence investigation in Brant County.
On February 26, 2026, at approximately 6:53 p.m., Brant County OPP began an investigation regarding a report of several historical intimate partner violence occurrences at a residence in the County of Brant.
As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old individual from Brant County was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following:
· Assault with a Weapon
· Assault – Spousal (three counts)
· Forcible Confinement
· Mischief Under $5000.00
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date.
