Members from the Brant detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with assistance from Brant County Fire Services of Burford, as well as Brant County and Oxford County Paramedic Services, responded to a collision involving three vehicles on Highway 403, County of Brant at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

The investigation determined that two passenger vehicles and a transport truck were involved in the collision.

A 33-year-old from Milton was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Four other occupants of the passenger vehicles were transported to hospital with minor injuries, and the driver of the transport truck was not injured.  

The West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team is assisting with the investigation.

The westbound lanes of Highway 403 were closed for several hours.

Anyone that witnessed the collision or has information, including dashcam footage, that could assist with this ongoing investigation is asked to contact the Brant County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
