A member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Shellards Lane near Strickland Avenue in the County of Brant after observing two vehicles street racing at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old driver from the Town of Harley in Brant County, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed,
- Fail to surrender insurance card.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation. The driver is scheduled to attend Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on the date of September 24, 2026.
