One Person Deceased After Two Separate Collisions on Highway 403

One person was pronounced deceased and a second is in hospital with serious injuries following two separate collisions involving motorcycles on Highway 403 in Brant County on Friday, July 15.

Members from Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Brantford Fire Department and Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services responded to a single-vehicle collision in the eastbound lanes of Highway 403, east of Jerseyville Road in Brant County at approximately 4:12 a.m.

One individual sustained serious injury after their motorcycle left the roadway and was transported to an area hospital by paramedics.

At 7:36 a.m., OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team members traveling to assist with the collision, came across a three-vehicle collision in the eastbound lanes of Highway 403 at Wayne Gretzky Parkway.

Brantford Fire Department and Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services responded to the second collision. The rider of an involved motorcycle was transported to hospital where they were pronounced deceased by attending physicians.

The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Kyle Jason DOW of Brant County.

Highway 403 eastbound was closed for approximately seven hours while emergency crews and investigators were on scene.

Both collisions remain under investigation. Police are asking anyone in the area of either collision who may own a dash camera and may have witnessed the collision, or anyone with information to assist the investigation, to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
