Officers with the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on King George Road in the County of Brant at approximately 9:56 p.m. on Friday September 16, 2022.

A witness observed a driver’s behaviour that caused them to be concerned and contacted police. Brant OPP members located the involved vehicle in the town of Paris where one person was arrested and transported to Brant County detachment for testing.

Police have charged Sonya Mae BROWN, 39-years-of-age from Brant County, with the following offence:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
