Bell Homestead summer concert series returns this month

City of BrantfordBell Homestead summer concert series returns this month

City of Brantford announced the return of the Bell Homestead’s free outdoor summer concert series featuring performances by local talent in June and August.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket with them to enjoy the concerts. All events are free to attend, but donations are gratefully accepted towards future Bell Homestead programming and events.

“We are thrilled to welcome such a talented lineup of local singers and musicians to the Bell Homestead this summer,” said Robert Stanczyk, Curator of the Bell Homestead National Historic Site. “The summer concert series offers a wonderful opportunity to relax, enjoy live music in a beautiful outdoor setting, and connect with the community.”

The Brant County Singers kick off the Bell Homestead’s Summer Music Series with the Summer Dreams Concert on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 3 p.m. The outdoor performance will take place on the Bell family’s front verandah. In the event of rain or inclement weather, the concert will take place on Sunday, June 28, 2026

The Summer Serenade Concert takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 7 p.m. The Brantford Memorial Concert Band will perform instrumental music with donations gratefully accepted in support of the Brantford School of Instrumental Music. The Exchange Café will be open to enjoy a variety of delicious home baked goods, ice-cream or beverages. The Phone Booth Museum Store will also be open to purchase a souvenir, vintage item or gift. In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to Sunday, June 21, 2026 at 3 p.m.

Brantford’s longest-established concert band, The Telephone City Music Society, presents Harmony at the Homestead Concert on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 7 p.m. Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate summer with this outdoor concert filled with lively music and entertainment.

A Coast-to-Coast Journey in Song and Story takes place on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 7 p.m. Honour Canada Day with stories of Canadians who have made significant contributions to our nation, alongside folk songs from across the country performed by local singing group Pleasant Ridge. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved inside to the Carriage House. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Enjoy an evening outdoor performance by the Brantford Community Symphony Orchestra with Symphony at Sunset on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 7 p.m. The performance will feature classical music enjoyed by the Bell family as well as modern favourites. In the event of rain, the event will take place on Friday, August 21.
