A member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 403 Highway East in the County of Brant after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a vehicle was observed travelling at a speed of approximately 170 km/h in a posted 100 km/h speed zone.
As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old driver from Mississauga, Ontario has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with, Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation.
