A 39-year-old Brantford man has been charged after a motorcyclist was killed in a collision in the early morning hours on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
BPS officers responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a four-door sedan and a motorcycle on King George Road at approximately 1:50 a.m.
According to investigators, the sedan left the road and struck a nearby residence and fence following the collision. The vehicle then became engulfed in flames.
A 70-year-old man from Puslinch, Ont. operating the motorcycle sustained serious, life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The 39 year-old Brantford man driving the sedan sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital where he was subsequently released.
The occupants of the residence were not injured, but they were displaced from their home due to structural damage from the collision.
As a result of the investigation, the 39-year-old sedan driver has been charged with the following:
- Dangerous Operation Causing Death
- Impaired Operation Causing Death
- Stunt Driving – Excessive Speed
Detectives believe more people may have been present at the time of the collision and may have spent time with the driver prior to the incident.
