Brant OPPCambridge resident facing Speeding and Stunt Driving charges

A member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Branchton Road after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed at approximately 6:48 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025.

The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a vehicle was observed travelling 143 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old driver from Cambridge has been charged with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed
  • Speeding – 143 km/h in a 80 km/h Zone

The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation.
