The Six Nations Police have arrested and charged an individual after failing to abide by release conditions and driving a motor vehicle while  prohibited.  

Officers of the Six Nations Police were advised of an overdue male at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025.

The male failed to return to a local community residential care facility. While officers were checking known addresses for  the male, he was observed operating a motor vehicle on Tuscarora Road.

Police were aware that the male is not properly licenced to operate a motor vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted, and officers approached the male driver. Officers visually identified the male as the one they were looking for.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Ronald Longboat  (69-years-old) of Ohsweken, Ontario with the following offences: 

– Operation while Prohibited  

– Fail to Comply with Undertaking – Conditions x 2  

– Driving while under Suspension x 3 

– Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence  

– Use Plate not Authorized for Vehicle  

– Fail to Surrender Insurance Card  

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date. The vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
