Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to a Colborne Street location after receiving a report of an assault at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
Security officers at the location reported that the accused became aggressive and allegedly assaulted security when ordered to leave the premises.
Officers attended, located, and arrested the accused.
Search incident to arrest located a knife in the possession of the accused.
Further investigation revealed the accused was in violation of a valid Probation Order.
As a result, a 36-year-old male resident of Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Assault
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Breach of Probation Order
