On Thursday, October 5, 2023, at approximately 4:00 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to a Colborne Street business after receiving a report of theft.

The accused was reported to have concealed several items, making no attempt to purchase the items before leaving the store.

Officers attended and located the accused. The items alleged to be stolen were located in possession of the accused and recovered by officers.

As a result, a 24-year-old male non-resident of Brantford was arrested and stands charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Theft Under $5,000
