Two people killed after vehicle collision on Phelps Road

Officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision on Phelps Road between Mount Pleasant Road and Cockshutt Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025.

Upon police arrival, an investigation ensued and it was established that two motor vehicles, an SUV and a sedan, had been involved in the collision, which resulted in significant damage.

Two occupants of the sedan were located with vital signs absent and, despite life-saving efforts, a 19 and 21-year-old male succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased by paramedics.

Two adult occupants of the SUV were extracted from their motor vehicle and sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries and were transported to hospital.

The Brantford Police Service continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident. Investigators are appealing to the public for any information that may assist in the investigation.
