Brantford Police ServiceTIGER Unit seizes over $73,000 in illicit drugs, two people facing multiple charges

Members of the Brantford Police Service Tactical Intelligence Generated Enforcement and Response Unit (T.I.G.E.R.) completed a drug trafficking investigation on Tuesday, January 11, 2023.

As a result of the investigation, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant had been obtained and executed at addresses on Debby Crescent and a motor vehicle, in the City of Brantford. 

A search of the vehicle resulted in the following items being located:

  • Approximately 222 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $38,520
  • Approximately 81 grams of suspected Fentanyl, with an estimated street value of $32,360
  • Approximately 26 grams of suspected Cocaine, with an estimated street value of $2,580
  • Approximately 14 grams of suspected Psilocybin, with an estimated street value of $286

The total estimated street value of the illicit substances seized is $73,746. 

A search of the residence resulted in the following items being located:

  • 5 replica BB pellet guns

As a result of this investigation, Tricia CARRIERE, 51, of Brantford, stands charged with the following:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (fentanyl – schedule I)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (cocaine – Schedule I)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (methamphetamine – Schedule I)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (psilocybin – Schedule III)

CARRIERE was released on a Form 10.

Additionally, Albert HILLIKER, 38, of Brantford, stands charged with the following:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (fentanyl – schedule I)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (cocaine – Schedule I)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (methamphetamine – Schedule I)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (psilocybin – Schedule III)
  • Fail to Comply Probation x 2, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Possession of Firearm or weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order X 2, contrary to the Criminal Code

Albert HILLIKER was held in custody for bail.
