Officers with the Brantford Police Services Traffic Unit were conducting Back-to-School road safety enforcement in the area of Paris Road near Tollgate Road, when they observed an e-bike travelling at an excessive rate of speed at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Monday, September 1, 2025.
The e-bike was recorded travelling 82 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone. Officers conducted a traffic stop and speaking with the driver determined that the accused did not have any insurance on the e-bike and his driver’s licence had been suspended 29 years prior.
