The City of Brantford Parks Services team has prepared the sledding hill on the site of the future Arrowdale Community Park, and residents are invited to enjoy the hill for wintery fun as soon as we get our first snowfall.

While the hill is regularly inspected and maintained by our Parks staff to offer more outdoor family-fun recreational opportunities throughout the winter months, users are reminded to closely follow all posted rules so that everyone can enjoy the space safely. Public and portable washrooms are not available on-site.Free street parking and on-site parking is available. The sledding hill is open daily from dawn to dusk, weather permitting.

Enjoy sledding safely

Residents’ safety is our top priority. Please adhere to the following rules when using the sledding hill:

  • Use of the hill for sledding is at your own risk
  • All users must act in an orderly, safe, and considerate manner
  • Parents/Guardians are responsible for their children’s safety and to determine if the conditions are safe for tobogganing
  • Refrain from building jumps or ramps
  • Profanity and loud music is not permitted
  • Glass containers are not permitted
  • Pets are not permitted on the sledding hill
  • Helmets are strongly recommended
