Last month, Six Nations Police separately charged three individuals suspected in impaired driving related incidents.
1. On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at approximately 5:12 p.m., Six Nations Police were advised of a traffic complaint on Fourth Line and Tuscarora Road. Multiple reports were received about a vehicle driving erratically in the area.
Police were approaching the last known location, when they observed a vehicle disobey the stop sign at Fifth Line and Tuscarora Road.
A pursuit was initiated but was later terminated due to the high rate of speed. Police located a vehicle matching the description a short time later. A male party was identified as the driver of the motor vehicle and signs of impairment were observed.
As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Quintan Bomberry-Burnham, 21, with the following criminal offences:
- Dangerous Driving
- Flight from Police
- Impaired Operation
- Alcohol per se Offence “80 plus”
- Breach Probation
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on a later date and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
2. On Saturday, September 13, 2025, at approximately 9:25 p.m., Six Nations Police were on general patrol when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Sixth Line.
Police followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Highway 54. When police spoke with the male driver of the vehicle regarding his driving behaviour, the male refused to provide a sample for the Approved Screening Device to check sobriety.
As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Jacob Burman-Lindstead, 18, of Caledonia with the following criminal offences:
- Dangerous Driving, and
- Failure or Refusal to Comply
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on a later date and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
3. On Monday, September 22, 2025, at approximately 12:25 a.m., Six Nations
Police were on general patrol when they observed a motor vehicle driving erratically on Onondaga Road.
Police initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle and spoke to the lone male driver. During the stop, the male admitted to being an unlicensed driver and had outstanding arrest warrants with another police service in the area.
While conducting a search of the vehicle, drug paraphernalia was located inside the vehicle and signs of impairment were also observed in the male driver.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged Jared King, 43, of Hagersville with the following criminal and provincial offences:
- Dangerous Driving
- Impaired Operation
- “High” Drug per se Offence
- Possession
- Speeding
- Drive while under Suspension x 2
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on a later date and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Six Nations Police also laid the following provincial offences during the month of September:
- Speeding x 3
- Careless Driving x 2
- Fail to Remain
- Driving while under Suspension
- Fail to Yield Driveway
- Obstruct Plate
