Brant OPPSingle-vehicle collision leads to Impaired Driving charges

One person is facing impaired driving charges after Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members investigated a single-vehicle collision Monday in the County of Brant.

Officers with the Brant County OPP responded to a reported collision on Brant County Road 18 near Number 6 School Road in the County of Brant at approximately 8:48 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2023.

There were no reported injuries. One person was arrested and transported to Brant County OPP detachment for testing.

Police have charged 39-year-old Cory Curtis Joseph STEWART, from Norfolk County with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and
  • Dangerous Operation.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
