Members of the Brantford Police Service are investigating after officers were called to an Obediah Crescent residence.

At approximately 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, officers responded to a call for service. Upon arrival, officers located a 32-year-old woman and her 2-year-old son inside the home. Both individuals were found without vital signs and were pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, investigators have determined that there is no threat to public safety, and police are not seeking any suspects in connection with this incident.

The incident remains under investigation. The Office of the Chief Coroner has been notified.

Out of respect for the family’s privacy, the identities of the deceased will not be released.
