Brantford Police were dispatched to attend a dispute involving an axe at a Dalhousie Street location at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

It was reported that an argument occurred between the victims, a 42-year-old female and a 19-year-old male, and the accused, a 31-year-old man. During the dispute, it is alleged that the accused left for a short period of time and then returned with an axe and threatened the victims.

Officers attended and located the accused who was arrested without incident. Officers also located and seized the axe.

As a result of the investigation, the accused, Johnathan Gordon ROBINSON, 31, of Brantford, stands charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession weapon dangerous purpose
