Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged an individual in connection with an incident that occurred at a residence in the County of Brant.
Officers responded to a report of a dispute involving two individuals known to each other at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
Upon arrival, police learned that one of the involved parties had left the area prior to officers attending the scene.
As a result of the investigation, Brant County OPP obtained grounds to issue an arrest warrant.
On September 24, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m., an individual from Ohsweken was arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
- Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent
- Theft Under $5,000
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford.
