Pickering woman facing multiple fraud charges

Brantford Police ServicePickering woman facing multiple fraud charges

Officers with the Brantford Police Service received a report related to an attempted fraud at a financial institution located on Colborne Street at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.

It was reported that the accused had allegedly attempted to open a bank account using fraudulent identity documents. 

Officers attended and arrested the accused without incident.

Additionally, it was determined that the accused was in violation of a valid police undertaking.

As a result of this investigation, a 27-year-old female from Pickering stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:

  • Identity Fraud 
  • Fraud Under $5000 
  • Possession of Identity Document x 3
  • Failure to comply with Undertaking 

The accused was held for a bail hearing
