Paris man wanted in connection with Waterloo kidnapping

CrimeParis man wanted in connection with Waterloo kidnapping

Waterloo Regional Police are seeking a wanted male on kidnapping charges after a female was assaulted in Wellesley Township.

A male, armed with a knife, attended a property in the area of Hessen Strasse and Greenwood Road and attempted to force an adult female into a vehicle at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

The female managed to escape, and the male fled in a vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered abandoned.

Police have identified the male suspect as David Sherk, 50, of Paris.

Sherk is currently wanted on charges of Kidnapping and Assault with a Weapon.

He is considered armed and dangerous. If seen, please do not approach him but call 9-1-1 immediately.
