Paris and Port Dover residents win $100,000

Local NewsParis and Port Dover residents win $100,000

Teresa Garden of Port Dover and Donna Smith of Paris matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the July 1, 2022 LOTTO MAX draw to win $100,000.

The two friends who met at work over 30 years ago have been playing the lottery together for about 15 years.

“I almost didn’t buy this ticket. I changed my mind at the last-minute right before the lottery terminal closed for the draw!” Teresa shared while at the OLG Prize Centre to pick up their winnings. “I saw an email from OLG, but thought it was a scam, so I logged into my OLG account right away.”

“I saw a text from Teresa and opened it to see a screenshot of the win – I thought she was pranking me for a second,” Donna laughed. “This is the most excitement I’ve ever felt from a cheque!”

Donna plans on purchasing a new vehicle with her portion of the win and Teresa will put hers towards her travel account.
