OPP investigate after damage to Hwy. 403 overpasses

Brant OPPOPP investigate after damage to Hwy. 403 overpasses

Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated damage to four overpasses on Hwy. 403 eastbound through the County of Brant.

On May 1, 2025 at approximately 10:39 a.m., reports were received about a red tractor trailer hauling an excavator travelling eastbound on Highway 403. While moving, the excavator hit the overpasses of Tollgate Rd, Paris Rd, Ewing Dr and King George Rd. Reports of pieces of concrete hitting the highway was also noted.

Brant OPP attended the scene, but the transport was not located.

The OPP is asking for anyone who was travelling in that area at the reported time who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage, to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
